Osamu Shimomura (August 27, 1928 – October 19, 2018)

Marine biologist Osamu Shimomura (下村 脩) has passed away at the age of 90. Dr. Shimomura shared the 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his isolation of green fluorescent protein.
